SOLD Over The Asking Price: Home Staging of a Classical Dutch Home
This beautiful dutch home was for sale and a design plan was devised to highlight its elegance and downplay its flaws. One major flaw was the poor condition of the flooring upstairs. Therefore, the color scheme was kept simple; shades of whites and creams kept the house bright, and the black color echos the fireplaces which existed all throughout the house.
In the living room, a tall flower arrangement reaching to the beautifully ornamented ceiling welcomed visitors with a “wow” factor. Furniture was minimized throughout the house to avoid distractions. The simplicity and elegance of the design made potential buyers able to imagine how the rooms could be……. waaaayyy beyond the current imperfections.
The end result? The house was sold quickly, and above the asking price.
